Performance lecture, CIIMAR, Porto

Strangers in a middle world’ is an on going audio visual research project that raises questions of migration and borders. It had its physical home in the terminal building of Porto’s port from Jan-March 2018 where I was artist in residency at the marine research institution CIMAR observing the study of invasive species. Ports and port towns are ecological and cultural gateways of movement and change and have become an on-going part of my research, offering a unique melting point of the narratives of borders.  Over the course of the residency I produced a body of audio visual work and ended with a lecture & performance in CIIMAR on March 2nd 2018.
